Le Son de la Travel Kora
During my whole career, I have told the story many times that my childhood dream was to play the banjo, and that the Kora snatched me on the way instead. I knew there was a relation between some West African instruments and the banjo. Today I know there’s a much deeper connection between the kora and the banjo than I ever thought. Now that my workshop is obliterated, the banjo brings a level of reconciliation inside that I never would have imagined.
