Last year I ran a half-marathon for the first time.
It was a beacon, a powerful way for me to mobilize and recover from burn-out. I had decided to run for a neurodiversity charity, but I had disconnected from social media. And I was coming from a very low point. I didn’t raise any money, it was more of a symbolic act…
This year I’m going full circle, running a marathon. This time I’ve decided to run for another cause dear to my heart. I’m still not on social media so I’m doing my own « handmade » campaign.
Right here is a link to “Ukraine Ridna”, a small organization run by Ukrainian refugees living in the South of France. They do what they can with very little means to help their own around them and back home. There are a lot of foundations for Ukraine. I chose to support Ridna simply because I know some of them (and thanks to them I got to understand more of my origins, being technically half Ukrainian…). I know for a fact that any amount of money raised will be used efficiently.

Call for Action
Most of us live our everyday lives in peace. Let’s keep it that way Thankfully we don’t have bombs on our heads. But freedom is a privilege that isn’t free, we’re just used to it. Being able to make a stand, to act creatively and hopefully make a difference with peaceful actions is a very precious thing. Right now nothing is certain for Ukrainians. Casualties and destruction happens on a daily basis — I am not much used to campaigning in this way, but I know that whatever amount we can get is going to help someone heal wounds, and another one maintain dignity and hope. And another one.
